In Splatoon, you can sometimes fight directly with your enemies, but often, you'll fight over the ground, instead. You'll ink it your color, an enemy will ink it their color, and you'll go back and forth that way. In this way, the ink system promotes an indirect sense of interplay--instead of just shooting at each other, you can also shoot at something between the two of you. This time, we get at how this system works, and what it's like to fight with someone indirectly.

Then, we consider the Splatoon Amiibo content and its weapon variety.
