What is The Commune?
We're a group of gamers, and we're always looking for new gamers to join us. Every month or so, we pick a game to play. We chat about the game together, and we record podcasts, record videos, and write essays. You can reach The Commune in the following ways: As for me, I'm Greg Livingston, but I go by Golem. This is the final podcast for Live-a-Live, where we discuss the awkward state of the final two chapters. Each chapter so far in the game has tried a new and unusual take on the JRPG formula; why does it end by turning to JRPG standards?

Then, we pause to discuss a quote from an interview between VG247's Dave Cook and Harebrained Schemes founder Jordan Weisman about Shadowrun Returns. Weisman said that Shadowrun Returns teaches the player just enough to encourage experimentation without leaving the player lost. We use this to reflect on Live-a-Live's various chapters.
